DAC Secretary General Praises Bun Rany Hun Sen’s Deeds on Her Birthday

PHNOM PENH: Secretary of State of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation and Secretary General of the Disability Action Council, Em Chan Makara has expressed his respect and gratitude for the patriotic heroism of Samdech Kittipritthbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen who sacrificed for the motherland. The wife of the Prime Minister is celebrating her birthday on Wednesday.

DAC Secretary General Em Chan Makara says, “On the occasion of Bun Rany Hun Sen's 67th birthday this year, Em Chan Makara and his wife, as well as the leadership of the General Secretariat of the Disability Action Council, wished her: Let us raise our hands to pray for the merits of the three jewels, the three great powers, all the sacred objects in the deity, take care of the great Samdech by helping to take care of the governor with all the blessings of Bun Rany Hun Sen and the Prime Minister Hun Sen, as well as their sons, daughters and grandchildren, may them enjoy good health, a long life of more than a hundred years, free from various diseases, and be worthy of the four great and precious blessings of the Buddha: longevity, class, happiness, and strength."

He has added that Bun Rany Hun Sen has sacrificed a lot in humanitarian work to help the Cambodian people to get out of suffering and hunger, natural disasters, and helping the poor, the elderly, the homeless, orphans, victims of women in crisis and persons with disabilities without discrimination, and provided significant funding to the Royal Government of Cambodia to prevent the spread Outbreak of Covid-19 in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Bun Rany Hun Sen was born on 15 December 1954. She is a daughter of a farmer from Roka Khnor commune, Krouch Chhmar district in Kampong Cham province which is now part of Tbong Khmum province. She and Prime Minister Hun Sen got married on 5 January 1976 during the Democratic Kampuchea regime. She became the president of the Cambodian Red Cross on 30 April 1998 until the present.
